Textures of tree bark, holes in trees…worlds that are so hard to see with the unaided eye are what inspired this cast glass sculpture. Cast from tree deformations and employing the lost wax method, these “Micro Landscape” sculptural series involve a 24-hour kiln casting process, hand-building a single use mold and carefully curating shards of colored lead crystal glass. The toil of the artist shines in the complexity and depth of this tiny sculpture, drawing you in to view the textural landscape of an other worldly universe.

Cast glass Micro Landscape sits snuggly inside an aluminum bezel cup, which is detachable for safe packing and shipping (Allen wrench included). The sturdy stainless steel base has an elegant taper to support and showcase the glowing Micro Landscape. All metal parts turned by precision machinist Curt Lavoie, State9 Precision.
